CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING Minutes from Meeting March 28, 2024 The meeting commenced at 9:30 a.m. Staff members in virtual attendance were Chelan Robbins, Danielle Marks, and Bernice Delgado. ROLL CALL OF THE COMMISSION Present via Teams were Commission Chair Ethel McNeal, Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin, Commissioner Josh Curry, and Legal Counsel Christine Svihus. Introduction of new Commissioner, Josh Curry. SUBMITTAL AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the meeting minutes of the February 22, 2024. Commissioner Chair Ethel McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT No public in attendance. No public comment submitted by correspondence. REVIEW OF THE PERSONNEL ACTION REPORT Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the Personnel Action Report for February 2024. Commissioner Chair Ethel McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. REVIEW OF THE CHIEF EXAMINER APPROVAL OF CALLS FOR APPLICANTS Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the Chief Examiner Approvals of Calls for Applicants for March 2024. Commissioner Chair Ethel McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. REVIEW OF THE CHIEF EXAMINER CERTIFICATIONS OF ELIGIBLE REGISTERS Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the Chief Examiner Certifications of Eligible Registers for March 2024. Commissioner Chair Ethel McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. NEW BUSINESS REVISED CLASS SPECIFICATIONS A. Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the revised class specification for Parking Enforcement Supervisor. Commissioner Josh Curry seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. OLD BUSINESS A. Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the revised class specification for Fire Battalion Chief. Commissioner Josh Curry seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. B. Commissioner Jo Metzger-Levin moved to approve the revised class specification for Fire Captain. Commissioner Josh Curry seconded the motion.
