City of Excelsior City Council Special Work Session MINUTES Monday, November 8, 2021 5:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M. 1. Call to Order/Roll Call Mayor Carlson called the work session to order at 5:32 P.M. City Council: Mayor Carlson and Councilmembers Caron, Dierking, Hersman, and Kurschner Absent: None Also Present: City Manager Luger, City Attorney Staunton, and City Clerk Williams 2. Agenda Approval Hersman moved, Dierking seconded, to approve the November 8, 2021 City Council Special Work Session Agenda. Motion carried 5/0. 3. Discussion on the Following Topics: • Shorewood Sewer Agreement: The Council discussed the next steps of the Shorewood Sewer Agreement and will continue discussion at an upcoming meeting. • City Hall Visioning: The Council discussed the options of having City Hall at the buildings that are currently owned by the City. • 810 Excelsior Boulevard: The Council will discuss the next steps of the 810 Excelsior Boulevard purchase agreement at the November 15, 2021 City Council Meeting. • Artspace: The Council has directed staff to continue to look for grants to support an Artspace project. Minutes City Council Special Work Session November 8, 2021 Page 2 • SLMPD Joint Powers Agreement: The Council will continue the SLMPD Joint Powers Agreement discussion after the first quarterly committee meeting in January. • Open Discussion: No additional topics were discussed. 4.
