City of Excelsior City Council Closed Session MINUTES Monday, January 9, 2023 5:30 P.M. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Mayor Carlson called the closed session to order at 5:35 P.M. City Council: Mayor Carlson and Councilmembers Caron, Dierking, Hersman, and Tyler Absent: None Also Present: Craig Waldron of Waldron Company and City Manager Luger 2. AGENDA APPROVAL Caron moved, Dierking seconded, to approve the January 9, 2023 City Council Closed Session Agenda. Motion carried 5/0. 3. MOTION TO CLOSE THE MEETING PURSUANT TO MINN. STAT. § 13D.05, SUBD. 3(A) TO EVALUATE CITY MANAGER’S PERFORMANCE. Hersman moved, Dierking seconded, to enter the closed session pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 13d.05, Subd. 3(a). Motion carried 5/0. 4. CITY MANAGER’S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION 5. MOTION TO RETURN TO OPEN SESSION Hersman moved, Dierking seconded, to return to open session.
