Minutes
Members Present: Corey Jannicelli, Laura Hull, Ellen Gross, Letty Hardi, Sally Cole, Ed
Henderson, Barb Cram, Rosemary Ziskind
Guests: Keith Thurston,
The meeting was called to order by Barb Cram at 9:45 am.
Minutes:
Meeting minutes from January and February 2018 were approved.
TLCCF Report:
The CATCH website no longer has capacity issues since the change to site ground as
it’s platform.
TLCCF is updating to a new calendar system
o Anyone can add items to the calendar. Contact Keith about setting up at
password
Laura offered to share a master list of all the calendars Creative Cauldron post events
on.
Monthly Action Plans:
Grant Funding
o Laura suggests targeting PNC and Washington Gas grants as sources of funding
Meeting/Storage/Archival Space
o The following groups were identified as still needing space
Tinner Hill, VPIS, & Chambers
Who should get the next priority space?
Artists need low-income housing space
Laura suggested making this a bigger conversation at a later meeting
Joint Marketing Plan
o How is the public accessing the press releases that the A&H Council is
creating?
o Suggestion made that the next press release could focus on Springtime/
Memorial Day
o Another suggestion was made to create an annual booklet of programs

o Locations for distributing information included local hotels, the Tysons-Fairfax
County Visitors Association, lobbies of multi-use buildings
o Suggestion made that a marketing intern could spend time connecting with
hotels, apartments, etc
Planning and Development Update:
Falls Church Arts Café opens in May from 7 am to 3pm with rental space in the
evenings.
Old Business:
Arts & Cultural Map
o Recommendation to merge small area plans for the Arts & Cultural Map
Public Art on Utility Boxes
o Letty spoke with Michael Whitfield about the initiative and the city can support
the project if the CATCH Foundation can support the funding.
o Suggestion was made to create a budget for the project
New Business:
American Evolution 2019
o Eden Center is listed on the Virginia Trails App
o American Evolution Marketing Grant Program deadline is March 22
Falls Church Women’s Walk planned for March 18 at 4pm with a rolling start
