Minutes
Members Present: Corey Jannicelli, Barb Cram, Laura Hull, Marybeth Connelly, Letty
Hardi, Rosemary Ziskind, Ron Anzalone
Guests: Keith Thurston (CATCH Foundation)
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Barb Cram at 9:39 am.
Minutes: Meeting minutes from May approved with edits.
TLCCF Report:
o None
Development Update:
Downtown Park
o Opened last week and events scheduled through June
West End Project
o Comprehensive Agreement (CA) signed but SEE differ until July 8
o Developers have committed to 5 pieces of Public Art
A&H Council should set up a meeting to engage developers with the
planning of Public Art
City Hall Renovations
o Dedication and cornerstone placement scheduled for Monday June 24
Old Business:
o Comprehensive Plan Comments to be submits by close of business today
Barb shared draft version of comments from previous AHC meeting
Emphasize the lack of available affordable dwelling units for
employees, artists, seniors, teachers, etc.
Discuss the option of accessory dwelling units and making zoning
easier for house add-ons verse teardown in an effort to keep our city’s
diverse character.
Recommend making a comment to support the tree commissions
comments to protect our tree canopy
o Heritage Days

Barb Cram shared a number of logo options and will share more print
ups next month
o Utility Box Public Art
Pilot box may be installed this month (pending weather)
o Public Art Policy Guidelines
Recommend adding a statement by the City that it is their duty to
supply Public Art
Recommend sending document to Gary Fuller in the Planning
Department to receive feedback on the role of the Planning
Commission and Planning Department.
After Planning Department has had a chance to review document, the
document will be shared with the community for review and feedback.
Questions raised:
Do we need an ordinance to enforce the guidelines?
What is the right minimum funding for development projects?
Possibly explore a tier option for different types of projects.

June 6-23- Creative Cauldron’s Disney’s Beauty and the Beast- sold out final weekend
June 20 – Music in the Parks for the next 7 Thursdays
June 28 – Sips and Silk – wine and scarf making class at Falls Church Arts
July 10 –Sept 12 -Creative Cauldron’s Summer Cabaret Series
July 13 – Egyptian Show at Falls Church Arts
