MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION
PURPOSE OF MEETING: This is first meeting of the City of Falls Church Public Utility
Commission (PUC).
DATE OF MEETING: May 18, 2022
PLACE OF MEETING: Virtual via Microsoft Teams
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY: Zak Bradley at 7:00 pm

PUC Meeting Business:
Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm, May 18, 2022.
Zak Bradley was assigned the role of Chairperson until the group selected a Chairperson.
Virtual Meeting Notice was read by Zak Bradley.
Mr. Shields made opening comments to the PUC Members.
Ms. Hiscott made opening comments to the PUC Members.
Mr. Bradley started the agenda.
The City of Falls Church is committed to the letter and spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This
document will be made available in alternate format upon request. Call 703 248-5014, (TTY 711).
Action: The PUC reviewed the sample Rules of Procedures from the City Clerk’s Office and decided on
the options provided within the document. The document was approved in a 5-0 votes.
Action: The PUC voted to make Daniel Kirk the PUC Chairperson by a 4-1 vote.
Action: The PUC voted to make Martha Hines the PUC Vice Chairperson by a 4-1 vote.
Action: The PUC voted 5-0 to make the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm the adopted meeting
time for the group.
Electronic Participation Forms will be distributed to the group for review and approval at next meeting.
Mr. Dudley gave a presentation to the PUC on the current Stormwater Capital Improvement Budget and
some background on the projects.
The Commission had open discussion on a range of topics related to infrastructure and the public.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm.

Information Act, Section 2.2-3708.2 and state and local legislation adopted to allow for continued
government operation during the COVID-19 declared emergency. All participating members will
be present at this meeting through electronic means. All members of the public may view this
electronic meeting via the meeting link listed above and in the City’s website calendar.
Public comments may be submitted to adudley@fallschurchva.gov until 4pm on Selected Date. All
comments will be provided to the CFC Public Utility Commission members and comments received
by the deadline will be read during the meeting.
