FLORA TOURISM The Depot – Train Room April 29th, 2026 – 5:00 pm The meeting was called to order at 5:10 pm by Lacey Lewis. Committee members Present: Stephen Smith, Lacey Lewis, Arriel Dulaney Absent: Phil Wiley, Dawn Wiles, Debbie Lamb GUESTS: Nikki Green No Quorum to approve previous minutes or financial report OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Springfest:- Continued Discussion from April's Meeting - Date: May 16th 2026 9-3 - We will need 2nd street to north main down to 3rd street blocked off. - Stephen did this - We have 13 vendors, 2 inflatables, Have yard games and looking for facepainting - Will have a 8-10 BBQ cook off and 3 beer vendors. For BBQ We will add a people’s choice award. We will have wristbands for the alcohol - The event will be a Jurored event to prevent multiple of the same vendors. - Working with Kari Thackery in conjunction with their 6K water run that is the same day. - Offer Biscuits and gravy from 8-10 - $5.00 - Full order $3.00 - Half Order - Music via PA System - 50s, 60s, 70 - Porta Potties - 2 handicap+2 Handwashing stations needed. Arriel booked this - letting them know to place them by the santa house. - No Rain Date - Event will be rain or shine - Contact all sponsors May 1st to confirm, and let them know that spots will be marked and to be set up and ready to go by 9am and no leaving the event early. Fourth of July- Continued Discussion from April's Meeting - 250th Anniversary Flyer needs to be circulated soon! - 800 shot finale - Inflatables reserved - Band - see if we can get sponsors for the band to cover the expense. 6-Dusk $3,000 - Taylor Kerney - Need to vote to approve paying - Vendors by Merchant building - All American Boy and Girl Contest - Hotdogs and Pork Burger Fundraiser $5 Also offering Drinks for additional charge - Provide Water Bottles - Need to contact Esda for directing traffic - Contacted - Email Mike about having the bathrooms opened early and to make sure we have TP, Soap, and Papertowls, Two Tables and chairs at Gazebo for Contest Ford Town - Dates decided: September 18th & 19th  - OTHER: The next meeting will be on May 13th at 5:00PM at City Hall Adjourn – General consensus to adjourn Respectfully submitted, Arriel Dulaney, Tourism Secretary
