Regular Meeting Minutes of the Fountain City Common Council
Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 6:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mayor Ben Adank. Roll call: Christine Williamson, Barb Schmidtknecht,
Peter Schaffner, Stephen Qualy, Scott Feraro, and David Endres, present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion S. Qualy, second C. Williamson to approve the minutes from Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Motion carried.
Motion P. Schaffner, second S. Qualy to adopt Ordinance 2025-01 to codify Chapter 35 of the City of Fountain City Code
of Ordinances. Motion carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second D. Endres to approve Amendment to Ordinance #33C an Ordinance Relating to
Parking Restrictions and to Regulating Nuisance or Junked Motor Vehicles. Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second D. Endres to approve Resolution 03-2025 Designation of Authorized Persons to Issue
Citations. Motion carried.
Motion P. Schaffner, second S. Qualy to approve the Operator’s License for Bradley Fritz. Motion carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second S. Qualy to approve the purchase of a new 2023 John Deere tractor with a rotary side
arm mower for $173,600. Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second B. Schmidtknecht to approve the bills as presented except the Dunn Blacktop invoice.
Motion carried.
Motion C. Williamson, second B. Schmidtknecht to adjourn at 6:46 PM. Motion carried.
