Regular Meeting Minutes of the Fountain City Common Council
Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 6:30 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by Mayor Ben Adank. Roll call: Christine Williamson, Barb Schmidtknecht,
Peter Schaffner, Stephen Qualy, Scott Feraro, and David Endres, all present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second S. Qualy to approve the minutes of Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Motion carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second P. Schaffner to approve the proposed 2026 general budget as published. Motion
carried.
Motion S. Feraro, second D. Endres to approve the Altra AVS Security System of $14,844.79 (previously approved for
$14,389.81) for the auditorium and city hall. Motion carried.
Motion P. Schaffner, second S. Qualy to invest the Principal Financial Group money of $97,261.79 with Old National Bank
in a CD for 5 months at 4%. Motion carried.
Motion P. Schaffner, second S. Qualy to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion B. Schmidtknecht, second S. Qualy to adjourn at 7:07 PM. Motion carried.
