FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
October 1, 2025 – 3:00 PM
Council Chambers, 42 N. Main Street

The meeting was called to order at 3:00 pm by Barb Schmidtknecht. Roll call: Chris Williamson,
Stephen Qualy, Barb Schmidtknecht all present. Others present: Mayor Ben Adank, Marcia
Larson, Michele Klein. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Motion Chris, second Stephen to approve the minutes of the August 27 and September 16,
2025 Finance Committee meetings. Motion carried and minutes were approved.
Budget review continued on the 2026 general, cemetery, and water budgets.
Mayor Adank shared news that the city was awarded an additional $233,167 with the Flexible
Facilities Program (FFP) grant.
An investment with Principal Financial Group was reviewed. It was agreed to move forward with shifting
the investment to other accounts in IntraFi.
Motion to adjourn by Chris, second Stephen. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:37
pm.
