March 1, 2021 The Fredericktown Village council met in regular session on March 1, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Municipal Building. PRESENT: Council Members Brewer, de Rojas, Lanuzza, Shoemaker, Turpen, and Van Nostrand; Fiscal Officer Graves; Village Administrator Snell; Chief Johnson. Mayor Day called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. INVOCATION: Richard Hasley, United Methodist Church. MINUTES: Lanuzza made a motion to approve February 22, 2020. Seconded by Brewer. All Yea. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: None. LEGISLATION: FIRST READING - ORDINANCE NO. 2021-05 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING WATER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS OF THE VILLAGE OF FREDERICKTOWN, OHIO FIRST READING - ORDINANCE NO. 2021-06 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SANITARY SEWER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS OF THE VILLAGE OF FREDERICKTOWN, OHIO OLD BUSINESS: • Council Member Brewer asked about tornado sirens. Administrator Snell said the one at the Municipal building is working properly, however, the one at the fire station is currently being repaired. (A new tornado siren would cost approximately $24,000.) NEW BUSINESS: • Council Member Turpen resigned effective March 2, 2021. • Administrator Snell reminded everyone the Village wide garage sale day will be Saturday, June 5, followed by dumpster day, Saturday, June 12. VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: FISCAL OFFICER'S REPORT: None POLICE CHIEF REPORT: • Danielle Cook was sworn in today, March 1, 2021 as an Auxiliary Officer. SOLICITOR'S REPORT: None COMMITTEE REPORTS: • Council Member Shoemaker mentioned a presentation will be shown by Sam from the Area Development Foundation at the next council meeting. PUBLIC WORKS: Next meeting March 8th PLANNING COMMISSION: Next meeting March 11th FINANCE COMMITTEE: Next Meeting March 15th SAFETY COMMITTEE: Next meeting April 5th ADJOURNMENT – Turpen made a motion to adjourn.
