August 19, 2021 The Fredericktown Village council met in special session on August 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Municipal Building. PRESENT: President Pro-Tempore Lanuzza; Council Members Brewer, De Rojas, Lanuzza, Shoemaker and McKnight; Village Administrator Snell. ABSENT: Mayor Day; Council Member Van Nostrand. Brewer made a motion to excuse the absence of Mayor Day and Council Member Van Nostrand. Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea. President Pro-Tempore Lanuzza called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: • Knox Pages, Emma Davis LEGISLATION: RESOLUTION NO. 2021-20 - ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE 2021 KNOX COUNTY TAX INCENTIVE REVIEW COUNCIL CONCERNING UNIQUE METAL DESIGNS, INC. RECEIVING TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR PURPOSES OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH SECTION 5709.859(E) OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE McKnight made a motion to waive the three readings of Ordinance 2021-20. Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea, except Van Nostrand. Shoemaker made a motion to pass Ordinance 2021- 20. Seconded by Brewer. All Yea, except Van Nostrand. VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: • Village Administrator Snell discussed briefly the need to move forward on contracting with Dixon Engineering, Inc., to complete bid specs for the High Street Water Tower Panting Project at a cost of roughly $5,000. There was no formal vote needed but Council consensus was to move forward immediately on acquiring the bid specs and to continue pursuing HB168 funding toward this project.
