March 23, 2022 The Fredericktown Village council met in special session on March 23, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Municipal Building. PRESENT: Council Members Brewer, Hobson, Lanuzza, McKnight, and Shoemaker; Village Administrator Snell; Zoning Inspector Fox; Fiscal Officer Graves. (Council Member de Rojas reported that she would arrive late - arrived at 5:32 p.m.) Marsha Rinehart; Scott Shoemaker; Jason Burgholder, engineer from K.E. McCartney. Mayor Day called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Purpose of meeting was to discuss Downtown Streetscape Project: • Tree Grates: Shoemaker made a motion to install tree grates around some of the trees, seconded by Hobson. All yea, except de Rojas • Electric outlets at trees: Shoemaker made a motion to install electric outlets at some of the trees, seconded by Hobson. All yea, except de Rojas. • Trash can lids: Lanuzza made a motion to select rain bonnet type lids for trash cans, seconded by Hobson. All yea. • Street signs: Lanuzza made a motion for white signs with black letters, seconded by Shoemaker. All year. • Brick samples: Three samples should be chosen by August 1, ODOT make the final choice from those three samples. • Stop Sign poles: Chose to keep as planned, square, black pole. • Jason – working on Stage 3 to be submitted to ODOT by April 1st, is about 90% done. ODOT does not want the private property at the corner of Mill and Main Streets worked on until the project is done, however conduit can be run for electric during construction for future projects. Timeline for project, begin approximately 4/1/2023 and complete by 10/31/23. No construction will take place during Tomato Show. • Marsha – Ohio Health (Mansfield) is donating $2,000 a year for four years for beautification (i.e., flowers). Community Foundation is donating $4,000 a year for maintenance at splash park. Community Foundation will cover costs for the Streetscape Project above the Village’s local share of $80,000. ADJOURNMENT – Shoemaker made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Brewer. All Yea.
