The Fredericktown Village council met in regular session on October 3, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the
Fredericktown Municipal Building.
PRESENT: Council Members Brewer, de Rojas, Hobson, Lanuzza, McKnight and Shoemaker;
Administrator Snell; Fiscal Officer Graves; Chief Myers.
ABSENT: Mayor Day
President Pro-Tempore Lanuzza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
INVOCATION: Andy Smith, New Life Church of Christ
MINUTES:
• Hobson made a motion to approve the September 19, 2022 council meeting minutes. Seconded by
Brewer. All Yea.
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS:
• John Walsh and Joe Walsh attended the meeting to answer any more questions regarding the EV
charging stations. Estimated cost to install the stations is about $10,000. Hobson made a motion to
approve the cost of installing the stations as well as have John Walsh submit the two locations
(parking lot at College/Main and parking lot at the municipal building) to GM for placement.
Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea.
LEGISLATION:
(Third Reading) RESOLUTION NO. 2022-28 - A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN
VILLAGE PROPERTY SURPLUS AND DISPOSING OF THAT PROPERTY THROUGH
INTERNET AUCTION ON GOVDEALS.COM
Brewer made a motion to pass Resolution 2022-28. Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea
(Second Reading) ORDINANCE NO. 2022-33 - AN ORDINANCE TO DEDICATE AND NAME
REAL PROPERTY AS A PUBLIC ROAD
OLD BUSINESS:
• Electric sign policy was placed on Google Drive for Council members to review and make
suggestions/additions. Shoemaker made a motion to approve the electric sign policy as amended.
Seconded by de Rojas. All Yea.
NEW BUSINESS: None
VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:
• Storm sewer project is going well and water tower project sandblasting has started.
FISCAL OFFICER'S REPORT:
• Public Records Committee meeting scheduled October 17, 2022 at 6:45 p.m.
POLICE CHIEF REPORT:
• Received new cruiser last week.
SOLICITOR'S REPORT: None
COMMITTEE REPORTS: None
PLANNING COMMISSION: Next Meeting September 26th, 5:00 P.M.
PUBLIC WORKS, SAFETY & FINANCE: Next meeting October 17th, 5:30 P.M
MISCELLANEOUS COMMITTEE REPORTS: None
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Lanuzza made a motion to enter into executive session for the purpose
of discussing potential litigation, and asked Administrator Snell and Solicitor Landon to remain.
Seconded by Hobson. All yea.
Council entered into executive session at 7:36 p.m. Council returned to regular session at 7:51 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT – Hobson made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Brewer. All Yea.
