The Fredericktown Village council met in regular session on January 3, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the
Fredericktown Municipal Building.
PRESENT: Council Members Brewer, de Rojas, Hobson, Lanuzza and McKnight: Administrator Snell;
Fiscal Officer Graves; Chief Myers.
ABSENT: Council Member Shoemaker. Hobson made a motion to excuse the absence of Council Member
Shoemaker. Seconded by Lanuzza. All Yea.
Mayor Day called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
INVOCATION: Gail Angel, Fredericktown United Methodist Church.
MINUTES:
Lanuzza made a motion to approve the December 19, 2022 council meeting minutes. Seconded by
Brewer. All Yea, except Shoemaker. de Rojas abstained.
ELECT COUNCIL PRESIDENT PRO-TEMPORE
Hobson made a motion to nominate Lanuzza. Seconded by Brewer. Hobson made a motion to close the
nominations. Seconded by Brewer. All Yea, except Shoemaker. Brewer, de Rojas, Hobson, and McKnight
voted in favor of Lanuzza as Council President Pro-Tempore. Lanuzza abstained.
VISITOR COMMENTS: None
LEGISLATION:
(Third Reading) RESOLUTION NO. 2022-42 - A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
INSTALLATION OF TWO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGERS UPON TERMS AND
CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THE SITE HOST AGREEMENT
Lanuzza made a motion to pass Resolution 2022-42. Seconded by Brewer. All Yea, except Shoemaker.
(Second Reading) RESOLUTION NO. 2022-45 - A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPLETE
STREETS POLICY TO BE IMPLEMENTED WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF FREDERICKTOWN
(First Reading) RESOLUTION NO. 2023-01 - A RESOLUTION DECLARING GOV.DEALS AS
THE ONLINE SITE FOR PUBLIC AUCTIONING OF SURPLUS PROPERTY FOR THE
VILLAGE OF FREDERICKTOWN FOR THE 2023 CALENDAR YEAR
OLD BUSINESS:
• Vac truck bid is currently at $8,100 on GovDeals.com. Posted through January 12 at 8:00 p.m.
Village has possession of Vac truck purchased from City of Mount Vernon.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Council approved Mayor’s 2023 Council Committees and Annual appointments.
VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:
• Street department plowed during snow event on December 23rd.
• Water Tower Project almost complete – landscaping and paint touch-up will be completed in the
Spring.
• T-Mobile has been given the go ahead to put equipment back on tower.
• Pot holes left by Columbia Gas will be filled with gravel until they come in next week to patch.
FISCAL OFFICER'S REPORT: None.
POLICE CHIEF REPORT:
• Next Neighborhood Watch meeting, Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m.
• Officers completed Continuing Professional Training.
SOLICITOR'S REPORT: None
COMMITTEE REPORTS: None
PLANNING COMMISSION: Next meeting February ??th
PUBLIC WORKS, SAFETY & FINANCE: Next meeting January 16th
MISCELLANEOUS COMMITTEE REPORTS: None

Shoemaker.
