May 19, 2025 The Fredericktown Village Council met in regular session on May 19, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown Municipal Building. PRESENT: Council Members Hobson, Lanuzza; McKnight; Shoemaker; Administrator Snell; Chief Myers; Fiscal Officer Graves. ABSENT: Council Members Brewer and de Rojas. Hobson made a motion to excuse the absence of Council Members Brewer and de Rojas. Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea. President Pro-Tempore Lanuzza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. INVOCATION: Chief Myers, Fredericktown Police Department. MINUTES:  Hobson made a motion to approve the May 5, 2025 council meeting minutes. Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea, except Brewer and de Rojas. VISITOR COMMENTS:  None LEGISLATION:  (Third Reading) RESOLUTION NO. 2025-11 - A RESOLUTION TO PROCEED WITH SUBMISSION OF THE QUESTION OF LEVYING A RENEWAL TAX IN EXCESS OF THE TEN-MILL LIMITATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING POLICE PROTECTION Hobson made a motion to pass Resolution 2025-11. Seconded by McKnight. All Yea, except Brewer and de Rojas. OLD BUSINESS:  Water Improvements Project: No update  Sewer Plant Project: No update  Streetscape Project Wrap-up: No update  Marijuana Moratorium: No update  Continuity of Operations Plan: No update  Library Agreement: No update NEW BUSINESS: Jose, Fresh Mex 142 spoke with council about putting up fencing on sidewalk for outdoor dining. Hobson made a motion to allow them to put up fencing after approval from Village Administrator so that it does not exceed the required dimensions and meets ADA requirements. Seconded by Shoemaker. All Yea, except Brewer and de Rojas. VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT:  See report FISCAL OFFICER'S REPORT:  Council reviewed the bills, financial reports and bank reconciliation statement for the month of April 2025. Hobson made a motion to approve the financial reports, bills and bank statement for April 2025. Seconded by McKnight. All Yea, except Brewer and de Rojas. POLICE CHIEF REPORT:  Sandusky Street will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for the Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Monday, May 26th.  Sent high grass nuisance letters out.  Neighborhood Watch meeting, May 20th at 6:30 p.m.  Coffee with a Cop at the Senior Center on Columbus Road May 30th at 12:00 p.m. COMMITTEE REPORTS: None  Safety, Public Works and Finance Committees – next meeting June 16th  Planning Commission – to be determined  Miscellaneous Committee Reports o Lanuzza gave thanks to the community for supporting the Recreation District levy.
