Roll Call Present 4 - Chairperson Michael McDonald, Vice Chair Jack Tracy, Board Member Lynda Snauffer, and Board Member Al Smith Board Council, Dan McCloskey was present and represented the Board. Acting Secretary Designee, Karnell Grijalva was also present. 2. Approval of Minutes A. May 1, 2017 On motion of Board Member Smith, seconded by Board Member Snauffer, the above Action Item was approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Chairperson McDonald, Vice Chair Tracy, Board Member Snauffer and Board Member Smith 3. Old Business A. Closed Session - Consideration City of Fresno Pre-Hearing Motion [Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954] Appointing Authority, Fire Batallion Chief, Jonathan Chew, was present and represented by Assistant City Attorney, Tina Griffin. The Appellant and Attorney at Law, Thomas Sharpe, was also present. Consideration of the City's Pre-Hearing Motion was continued to May 24, 2017 by Board approved Joint Stipulation and Order. Closed Session - Continued Public Discipline/Dismissal/Release [Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954] Appointing Authority, Fire Battalion Chief, Jonathan Chew, was present and represented by Assistant City Attorney, Tina Griffin. The Appellant and Attorney at Law, Thomas Sharpe, was also present. Decision was approved to continue scheduled hearing on July 19, 2017. 5. Unscheduled Public Communications None Members of the public may address the Civil Service Board regarding items that are not listed on the Agenda and within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. Each person is limited to a three (3) minute presentation. Board action on unscheduled items, if any, shall be limited to referring the item to staff for a report and possible scheduling on a future Civil Service Board agenda. 6.
