Roll Call Present 2 - Vice Chair Jack Tracy, and Chair Michael McDonald Absent 1 - Board Member Elba Gomez Board Counsel, Dan McCloskey, was present and represented the Board. Also present were Acting Secretary Designee, Karnell Grijalva, and Personnel Services Director, Jeff Cardell. 2. Approval of Minutes May 29, 2019 On motion of Board Member Snauffer, seconded by Vice Chair Tracy, that the minutes for May 29, 2019 be approved. At 9:01am the Board convened into Closed Session. 3. Old Business A. Closed Session - Continued Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release [Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954] On motion of Vice Chair Tracy, seconded by Board Member Snauffer, that the above Action Item be Approved and Returned Signed. Closed Session - Continued Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release [Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954] On motion of Vice Chair Tracy, seconded by Board Member Snauffer, that the above Action Item be Approved and Returned Signed. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3 - Vice Chair Tracy, Snauffer and Chair McDonald Absent: 1 - Board Member Gomez Deputy City Attorney III, Jennifer DeRuosi, was present on behalf of the Appointing Authority. Unscheduled Public Communications Personnel Services Director, Jeff Cardell, announced to the Board that Board Member, Lynda Snauffer, submitted her resignation effective October 1, 2019. Mr. Cardell and the Board expressed to Mrs. Snauffer their appreciation and thanked her for her years of service to the City of Fresno and the Civil Service Board. Board Counsel, Dan McCloskey, announced the decisions of the Board from Closed Session in accordance with the Brown Act.
