CALL TO ORDER - Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call Gahanna City Council met in Regular Session on Monday, June 1, 2015, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council Tom Kneeland called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Vice President of Council Renner delivered an Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. ORD-0065-2015 TO ACCEPT MONIES SEIZED IN THE AMOUNT OF $593 AND AWARDED TO THE GAHANNA POLICE PURSUANT TO COURT ORDER NO. 13CV-13035; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $454 TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND. This Ordinance was Adopted on the Consent Agenda. ORD-0066-2015 SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Local Transportation Improvement Capital Streets This Ordinance was Adopted on the Consent Agenda. RES-0004-2015 A RESOLUTION TO HONOR AND COMMEND ANTHONY A. COLLINS FOR FIFTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF GAHANNA Mr. Collins said he was proud of the time he has spent with the City; he is humble and thankful to be a part of this City; thankful for the citizens trying to make a difference; looking forward to doing the same stuff but on a bigger stage. This Resolution was Adopted on the Consent Agenda. Approval of the Consent Agenda A motion was made by Angelou, seconded by Jolley, to approve the Consent Agenda. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor City of Gahanna Page 3 City Council Meeting Minutes June 1, 2015 Mayor said happy to talk about Creekside Live if anyone has any questions; series will run through August; go to Creeksidelive.com for details; appreciate all the volunteers that make this event successful; encouraged everyone to sign up for Open Town Hall. City Attorney Congratulated Tony Collins on his new adventure; he will be missed by all; has a lot of good memories working with Tony over the last several years. O. COUNCIL COMMENT Angelou congratulated Tony; welcomed Troy Euton as the new Director. Leeseberg echoed Angelou's sentiments. Jolley noted that he served on a committee with Tony Collins 11 or 12 years ago; excited Tony will still be in the area; wished him best of luck. Larick echoed the congratulations to Tony. Renner thanked Tony for his service. Kneeland said it is a bittersweet event; welcomed Troy; thanked Development staff for help with Veterans Brick Memorial Service; had a large turn out; still looking for volunteers for the Jazz & Blues Festival. P. EXECUTIVE SESSION - A motion was made by Schnetzer, seconded by Leeseberg, to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(c) to confer with the City Attorney concerning disputes involving the City, and/or appointed or elected officials or employees, which are subject to pending or imminent court action AND Section 5.40(g) to consider confidential information related to the marketing plans, specific business strategy, production techniques, trade secrets, or personal financial statements of an applicant for economic development assistance, or negotiations with other political subdivisions respecting requests for economic development assistance. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Angelou, Jolley, Leeseberg, Renner, Schnetzer, Kneeland and Larick City of Gahanna Page 4 City Council Meeting Minutes June 1, 2015 Kneeland confirmed there will be no action taken from the Executive Session this evening.
