CALL TO ORDER - Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call Gahanna City Council met in Regular Session on Monday, August 17, 2015, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council Tom Kneeland called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Vice President of Council Renner delivered an Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Resolution to Honor and Commend Deputy Chief of Police Kenneth Bell for 42 Years of Law Enforcement Service President Kneeland presented the Resolution to Deputy Chief Ken Bell. Bell said he thanks his wife for putting up with his career throughout these years; appeciates the opportunity to work along side Chief Murphy; asks that Council ask residents make an attempt to stop and talk to our young police officers; we have established good police officers in his years here; appreciates the opportunity to work along with these young professional officers. This Ordinance was introduced. ORD-0090-2015 M I D - Y E A R B U D G E T A D J U S T M E N T S - SUPPLEMENTALS/TRANSFERS/UNAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS. This Ordinance was introduced. ORD-0091-2015 TO AMEND ORDINANCE 148-91, OP&F AND OPERS SALARY REDUCTION PICK-UP PLAN TO INCLUDE ALL EMPLOYEES. This Ordinance was introduced. ORD-0092-2015 TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE WATER AND SEWER REVENUE ACCOUNTS TO THE WATER AND SEWER EXPENSE ACCOUNTS. This Ordinance was introduced. E. Resolution to Adopt on First Reading: RES-0006-2015 TO HONOR AND COMMEND DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE KENNETH BELL FOR FORTY-TWO YEARS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE This Resolution was Adopted on the Consent Agenda. Motion Resolutions: MR-0039-2015 MOTION RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS TOTALING $34,620 FROM ACCOUNT NOS. 101.348.5106, 101.348.5131, 101.348.5132, AND 101.348.5138, TO ACCOUNT NO. 101.348.5249, CONTRACT SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY; TO COVER EXPENSES RELATED TO THE PLACEMENT OF A FULL TIME INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST POSITION THROUGH A STAFFING AGENCY THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR. MR-0041-2015 MOTION RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO BID THE GOLF COURSE FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT. This Motion Resolution was Approved on the Consent Agenda. MR-0042-2015 MOTION RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO BID THE TECHCENTER DRIVE SLOPE STABILIZATION. This Motion Resolution was Approved on the Consent Agenda. Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) - Angelou Angelou said they do not have meetings in August. Bd. of Education, Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools - Jolley Jolley said no official report but have only heard good things about the school year start. Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) - Jolley Jolley said Board met Thursday; will be following up on that meeting. N. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor Not present. City Attorney No report. O.
