Gahanna City Council met in Regular Session on Monday, September
17, 2018, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road,
Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council, Brian D. Larick, called the
meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Vice President of Council, Jamie
Leeseberg, delivered an Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Council
President Larick said a letter was received from the City of Columbus,
Department of Public Service, regarding Morse Road Improvements
from Seward Street through Stygler Road - FRA-CR17-4.96 (PID
106390). We are able to submit comments on the project if so desired.
The letter and map of project is in the Council office, please let him know
if you'd like to respond.

Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) - Angelou
Angelou provided a summary of the items discussed in the last meeting;
documents in Clerk's office for review.
Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education - Metzbower
Will have report after next meeting.
Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) - Renner
· On Thurs, Sept. 6, Visit Gahanna hosted its third Certified
Tourism Ambassador class of the year. This class, held at Barrel
& Boar, was sold out in registrations and not only welcomed new
CTAs, but also introduced new customers to the Creekside
District and one of Gahanna's enjoyable restaurants.
· On Sat, Sept. 8, the CVB hosted a tour group from Wisconsin.
The group of 40 spent the morning, participating in an herbal
workshop at the Ohio Herb Center and touring Gahanna's unique
Geroux Herb Gardens.
· During the week of Sept. 11, Team Visit Gahanna participated in
a three-day promotional tour in Indiana, meeting with group tour
operators and sharing information on brand new group
experiences created by the CVB to highlight local businesses.
· This past weekend, Team Visit Gahanna hosted 30 members of
the Capital City Corvette Club on a "mini Herbal Cocktail Trail"
experience. Designed especially for the group, this experience
allowed participants to sample several cocktails featured on the
"Trail" and enjoy samples of signature dishes at local restaurants.
· Looking ahead: On Sunday, October 7, Visit Gahanna will host a
brand new event - "Pies in the Park." The day will feature pizza
samples from some of Gahanna's best pizzerias and restaurants,
dessert pies, kid-friendly activities, and live music. Attendees will
have the chance to vote on their favorites and prizes will be
awarded to the winning vendors. The event will be held at
Friendship Park from 1-5 p.m. For more information on Pies in

investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official,
licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official,
licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing.
President Larick requested Council attend the Executive Session in the Council
Conference Room.
