CALL MEETING TO ORDER - Roll Call. Gahanna City Council met in Special session on Monday July 26, 2021, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 S. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council, Brian Larick called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. Agenda for this meeting was published on July 23, 2021. * Schnetzer was absent during roll call, but arrived 6:55 p.m. Present 7 - Brian D. Larick, Jamie Leeseberg, Stephen A. Renner, Michael Schnetzer, Karen J. Angelou, Merisa Bowers, and Nancy R. McGregor A motion was made by Angelou, seconded by Leeseberg, to recess the meeting at 6:52 p.m. to go into the Committee and Finance Meetings. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6- Larick, Leeseberg, Renner, Angelou, Bowers and McGregor Absent: 1- Schnetzer A motion was made by Schnetzer, seconded by Renner, to reconvene the Special Meeting at 7:25 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Larick, Leeseberg, Renner, Schnetzer, Angelou, Bowers and McGregor City of Gahanna Page 1 City Council - Special Meeting Minutes July 26, 2021 B. EXECUTIVE SESSION: to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing. A motion was made by Leeseberg, seconded by Schnetzer, to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing. Larick invited council members to attend Executive Session in the Council Conference Room. Council rose to report into Executive Session at 7:25 p.m.; Council rose to report from Executive Session at 7:47 p.m., with no action taken. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Larick, Leeseberg, Renner, Schnetzer, Angelou, Bowers and McGregor C. BOARD OF ZONING & BUILDING APPEALS APPOINTMENT. President Larick stated that this item was included on the agenda in case Council was prepared to appoint a member; no appointment would be made this evening. D. ADJOURNMENT.
