CALL TO ORDER Committee Chair Nancy McGregor Called the Committee of the Whole meeting to order at 7:55 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. All members were in attendance. B. DISCUSSIONS 1. ITEMS FROM THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND ENGINEERING MT-019-2020 MOTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND ENGINEERING TO BID THE 2020 SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Mr. Crawford presented his report (attached). The work includes heaving cleaning and a mile of pipeline. It was not originally budgeted but in light of the wet weather events it is evident that it is needed. Mr. Leeseberg asked if the estimate is appropriate. Mr. Crawford replied yes and that it includes a contingency as well. Mr. Renner asked if there was a map available. Mr. Crawford said it was multiple segments but a map could be presented. It's in the Royal Manor/Brentwood area, some of the oldest lines. Ms. Bowers asked about the timeline. City of Gahanna Page 1 Committee of the Whole Meeting Minutes June 1, 2020 Mr. Crawford said that once the motion is approved June 15, the bid package has to be assembled and advertised, 3-4 months, and then another few months for the work to be completed, so late fall for completion. RECOMMENDATION: Consent Agenda. ORD-050-2020 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - 2020 Sewer Improvement Project Mr. Crawford presented that this was just the supplemental appropriation for this program.
