CALL MEETING TO ORDER Chair Piccolantonio called the meeting to order at 7pm. B. ROLL CALL Present: 8 - Cynthia Franzmann, Eric Miller, Andy Piccolantonio, Jan Ross, Ken Shepherd, Joe Gottron , Sarah Mill and Sarah Mill C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made my Miller, seconded by Ross, to approve the Parks Board minutes of October 5, 2016. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA Nothing at this time E. HEARING OF VISITORS None F. OLD BUSINESS G. NEW BUSINESS a. Golf Course update - Blaine Miskell, GC Supervisor Blaine Miskell, Golf Course Supervisor updated the Board on the Golf Course. Events update - Zac Guthrie, Recreation Supervisor Zac Guthrie, Recreation Supervisor updated the Board on event, sponsorships and Herb Center. 2016-0347 Rec Events update c. McCutcheon Rd Park Concept Plan Euton shared with the Board an updated Concept Master Plan for the park. Several grants were received; the City received $250,000 from the State, $125,000 from the Natures Work Grant, $25,000 from the Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation. Staff continues seeking funding support from several Foundations and local civic organizations. Euton shared that Barr and J. Teal will give a presentation (11-28-2016) to Council in regards to the new park. 2016-0346 Park Concept Plans H. CORRESPONDENCE AND ACTIONS Nothing at this time I. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Euton shared the Director's Report which included updated membership numbers for the Senior Center. Euton shared the proposed department budget for 2017. The budget request is going to be presented to Council. 2016-0348 Director's Report - Nov 2016 J. COMMITTEE REPORT'S a. Aquatics Advisory Committee b. Bicycle & Trail Advisory Committee (BTAC) - Nothing at this time c. Gahanna Active Senior Advisory Council d. Natural Resources Advisory Committee Staff will be getting the group together soon for the waterway plan and part of the Big Walnut Trail. City of Gahanna Page 2 Parks & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes November 2, 2016 e. Veteran's Advisory Committee Shepherd shared that the Dedication Ceremony will be on November 11th at 11am. K. POLL MEMBERS FOR COMMENT Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation Ross shared that the Foundation is going to have a planning meeting in January. Hops and Vines revenue is $18 - $20,000. School Board Report Gottron shared that the School Board is encouranging the community to get engaged in the three committees of the Board. The meetings are the second Thursday of each month. Gottron also shared that he is stepping down from the School Board. His family is moving out of state. L. ADJOURNMENT Being no further buiness of the Board; the meeting adjourned at 8:35pm.
