CALL MEETING TO ORDER Franzmann, Chair called the October 10, 2018 Parks & Recreation Board meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. B. ROLL CALL Moehring arrived at 7:04 p.m. Present: 7 - Eric Miller, Andy Piccolantonio, Jan Ross, Ken Shepherd, Daphne Moehring, Cynthia Franzmann and Chrissy Kaminski C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion was made by Shepherd, seconded by Miller, to approve the minutes from the September 12, 2018 meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Miller, Piccolantonio, Ross, Shepherd, Moehring, Franzmann and Kaminski 2018-0182 PR Bd mins 9-12-2018 D. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA New Business: Change the order of the business - Fee Schedule then Pricing Policy. E. HEARING OF VISITORS None F. NEW BUSINESS a. 2019 Draft Fees The Motion was moved and seconded; after much discussion the Board voted. Motion was made by Shepherd, seconded by Miller, to recommend the Draft 2019 Fee schedule as presented . The motion failed Yes: 1- Shepherd No: 6- Miller, Piccolantonio, Ross, Moehring, Franzmann and Kaminski 2018-0186 2019 Draft Fees 2018-0201 2019 APPROVED Fees The Board and staff discussed in further detail the pricing for Aquatics and agreed on the new 2019 Fees. See 2019 APPROVED Fees attachment. Motion was made by Ross, seconded by Miller, to make a recommendation to Council on the revised 2019 Fee Schedule discussed. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Miller, Piccolantonio, Ross, Shepherd, Moehring, Franzmann and Kaminski b. 2019 Pricing Policy Barr stated that no changes were made since the Board approved the document in 2018. Barr needs a recommendation from the Board for Council to accept the 2019 Pricing Policy. Motion was made by Moehring, seconded by Franzmann, to recommend to Council the 2019 Pricing Policy. The motion carried by the follwoing vote: Yes: 7- Miller, Piccolantonio, Ross, Shepherd, Moehring, Franzmann and Kaminski 2018-0184 2019 Pricing Policy H. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Barr gave an update on the new park on McCutcheon Road; the restroom building will be set this week; due to weather delays the ribbon cutting should be mid November. The Bridge should be set soon for the Big Walnut Trail Section 4; and the city has applied for grants for the Big Walnut Trail Section 8. 2018-0185 Directors Report 10-2018 J. COMMITTEE REPORTS a. Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation Ross shared that the final numbers are still being worked on for the Hops & Vines event. b. School Board Report Moehring shared that the meeting has been postponed until next week for the Five-year forecast. The State Grade Card came in with Gahanna receiving a B. L.
