CALL MEETING TO ORDER Board Member Eric Miller called to order the Parks & Recreation Board meeting on February 13, 2019 at 7:05pm. B. ROLL CALL Jan Ross arrived at 7:07pm. Present: 5 - Eric Miller, Jan Ross, Cynthia Franzmann, Chrissy Kaminski and Daphne Moehring Absent: 2 - Andy Piccolantonio and Ken Shepherd C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion was made by Franzmann, seconded by Moehring, to approve the January 9, 2019 minutes. Senior Services Annual Update - Patrick Monaghan Patrick Monaghan, Senior Services Supervisor shared an overview of the activities provided at the Center. Monaghan also shared revenue comparisons for the last three years and distributed the most recent newsletter. Outstanding Youth Leader of the year is Ella Oswalt, for the leadership she displayed while building the natural playground at Woodside Green Park, 2nd Place Historical & Cultural Arts - All of Us: A Life's Project, GLHS Theater Appreciation class and Gahanna Senior Center Seniors, and 3rd Place Marketing Innovations for the Shine with Parks & Rec seasonal hiring program. Document attached. 2019-0025 OPRA Awards2-13-2019 H. CORRESPONDENCE AND ACTIONS I. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Ferrell shared that there will be a combined celebration of Earth Day, Arbor Day and the Ribbon Cutting of Ward 1 park on April 27, 2019. Information will be distributed closer to the date. J. COMMITTEE REPORTS City of Gahanna Page 2 Parks & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes February 13, 2019 a. Bicycle & Trail Advisory Committee (BTAC) None b. Gahanna Active Senior Advisory Committee None c. Natural Resources Advisory Committee None d. Veteran's Advisory Committee None K. POLL MEMBERS FOR COMMENT Ross would like to discuss different meeting locations at the next Board meeting. a. Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation Miller shared that the Board elected the Executive Committee and nominated board members. Ross shared that the budget was approved, and there is a new bookkeeper. b. School Board Report Moehring shared that the Finance Committee had the exit audit meeting and everything was clean and the results are publicly posted. The Board is having an enrollment study done.
