CALL MEETING TO ORDER Jan Ross, Chair called the Parks & Recreation Board meeting to order on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Hannah Park. B. ROLL CALL Piccolantonio arrived at 7:14 p.m. Present: 6 - Eric Miller, Andy Piccolantonio, Jan Ross, Ken Shepherd, Cynthia Franzmann and Daphne Moehring Absent: 1 - Chrissy Kaminski C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Shepherd, seconded by Moehring, to approve the minutes from the May 8, 2019 meeting. CORRESPONDENCE AND ACTIONS NONE I. DIRECTOR'S REPORT Barr shared the Director's Report with the Board and that the process of identifying priority projects will start soon. Barr will have some additional Special Board Meetings in 2020 for the Boards input. Ferrell stated that the deferred projects need to be prioritized. Barr will share the Capital Needs Assessment documents with the Board once they are completed. Moehring suggested that GRIT could host a public meeting to discuss the needs and expectations of the community. Barr shared that in July the parking lot at Headley Park will totally be re-done and the paths into Rathburn Woods will be re-paved. 2019-0078 Directors Report 6-12-2019 J. COMMITTEE REPORTS a. Bicycle & Trail Advisory Committee (BTAC) NONE b. Gahanna Active Senior Advisory Committee NONE 2019-0070 ASAC Min4-25-2019 c. Natural Resources Advisory Committee Barr shared that NRAC will be involved in a feasibility study for Big Walnut Trail, Section 8 trail alternatives. d. Veteran's Advisory Committee Shepherd shared there was a very large turn out for the Memorial Day City of Gahanna Page 2 Parks & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes June 12, 2019 Veteran's brick dedication ceremony. K. POLL MEMBERS FOR COMMENT a. Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation Miller shared the first Creekside Live of the season was very well attended. b. School Board Report Moehring shared that graduation went very well with approximately 550 students graduating. The Finance Committee meets on June 18, 2019. L.
