CALL MEETING TO ORDER Jan Ross, Chair called the Parks & Recreation Board meeting to order on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 7:01 p.m. at City Hall. The recorder malfunctioned and the meeting was not recorded. ROLL CALL Present: 6 - Eric Miller, Andy Piccolantonio, Jan Ross, Ken Shepherd, Chrissy Kaminski and Daphne Moehring Absent: 1 - Cynthia Franzmann C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Kaminski, seconded by Shepherd, to approve the minutes from the July 10, 2019 meeting with changes. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA None E. HEARING OF VISITORS None F. OLD BUSINESS City of Gahanna Page 1 Parks & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes August 14, 2019 a. CNA Update Barr gave a brief overview of the Capital Needs Assessments the department submitted to Council. The Board discussed drafting a letter of support to Council for Parks & Recreation initiatives and priorities. Members will attend the September 3, 2019 meeting to speak to the letter. G. NEW BUSINESS The Board would like to invite the Mayoral Candidates to the October meeting; allowing each candidate 30 minutes to speak. They will prepare questions at the September meeting. H. CORRESPONDENCE AND ACTIONS None I. DIRECTOR'S REPORT 2019-0104 Directors Rpt 8-2019 J. COMMITTEE REPORTS a. Bicycle & Trail Advisory Committee (BTAC) BTAC met at the end of July and discussed capital uses. b. Gahanna Active Senior Advisory Committee None c. Natural Resources Advisory Committee None d. Veteran's Advisory Committee None K. POLL MEMBERS FOR COMMENT City of Gahanna Page 2 Parks & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes August 14, 2019 a. Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation Miller updated the Board on Hops & Vines Event. b. School Board Report Moehring shared that school had started for kindergarten through 9th grade today and rest of high schoolers will start tomorrow. Still accepting applications for treasurer. L.
