ADJOURNMENT Page 2 of 3  City of Gainesville Agenda Item Report File Number: 2025-558 Agenda Date: July 15, 2025 Department: Department of Housing & Community Development Title: 2025-558 - Public Hearing on the Program Year 2025-2026 Annual Action Plan (NB) Department: Department of Housing & Community Development Fiscal Note: NA Explanation: For the 2025-2026 program year, the city anticipates having $1,442,129 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $605,269 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds available. Grant allocations can be used to provide decent and aff ordable housing, reduce homelessness, support a suitable living environment for all residents, provide essential services, and promote economic opportunities. To receive grant funds, the city must prepare an Annual Action Plan, which outlines a strategy for addressing needs and proposes a budget for the city's use of HUD funds towards eligible activities. The city invites residents, housing and homeless partners, and other stakeholders to join us in identifying community assets, strengths, and gaps, and determining the best use of funds for community change.
