Mr. Kenneth Thomson, Chairman called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. A copy of the meeting agenda is attached to these minutes as Exhibit A. Item 1: Approve Minutes – August 14, 2018 Historic District Commission Meeting. Mr. Matchett motioned to approve the minutes from the August 14, 2018, Historic District Commission meeting. Ms. Love seconded the motion and the motion passed 3 ayes; 0 nays. Item 2 – Conservation District Meeting Update Ms. Ogden thanked the members who attended the public meeting. She is now in discussions with Mr. William McCord, Director of Planning and property owners for feedback to the meeting. She said the public meeting went as expected. Ms. Love said one of the property owners seemed to turn some of the other property owners against the Conservation District proposal. Ms. Ogden said representatives of the State of Tennessee attended the meeting and gave a lot of information to the property owners. Ms. Love said one of the State representatives told the property owners that, if the property is not protected from demolition, anyone could buy the properties and tear down all of the buildings. Item 3 - Outstanding Historic District Problem Properties Ms. Love asked about the property at 756 East Main Street. Ms. Ogden said the property is currently occupied by the heir to the property. Gallatin Historic District Commission Meeting Minutes 2 September 10, 2018 Item 4 – Woodson Terrace Street Reports There were no issues to report. Item 5 – East Main Street Historic District Street Reports There were no issues to report. Item 6 – Other Business There was no other business to discuss.
