AGENDA Gallup Business Improvement District Board Meeting August 17, 2017, 3 PM, at Rico Motors Call to Order Minutes of July 20, 2017 Board Meeting Acceptance of monthly financial report Reports: Met with Bill Keeler to discuss agreement for easement behind his store as part of the Alley Improvement Pilot project. July 24: Ride Flight Cruise event final details: Final meeting on-site with Steve Gurley, Bill Lee, Jim Smith, Police, Fire, Parks and Rec Departments & beer garden provider (Sammy Chioda & Premier Distributing); Met with the hotels being utilized by balloon pilots. Participated in July 27 Legislative Education Study Committee dinner meeting at Tanner Indian Arts to advocate for Gallup. Invited by several legislators to meet again in Santa Fe. July 28 cookout at Chamber of Commerce parking lot to welcome participants in Gurley Ford Car Show - managed by Steve Gurley and Bill Lee. July 29 Gallup Rt. 66 Freedom Festival in downtown Walkway/Plaza/Parking lot area. The overall event (balloon ascensions, car show, tunnel of fire, plaza festival) was successful again this year, with more attendees who came to Gallup from a wider range of source markets than in prior years. August 1 meeting at Second Street Center – presented by Bohannan Huston Engineering. Topic – Overview of process for updating City of Gallup Land Development Standards. There will be additional meetings with stakeholders and general public. Tiffany Benson has organized a citywide “Monthly Night Out”. The venue will rotate among participating restaurants, i.e. a different restaurant each month. Downtown restaurants are participating. Met with Chris Cordova to discuss preliminary research findings from Ride Flight Cruise event. Met with Griffin Advertising to review results of social media campaign for Ride Flight Cruise event. August 10 -12 Gallup Native Art Market held in downtown Plaza area parking lot. MainStreet ACD update. Arts Crawl update. Adjourn
