(1st P Johnson, 2nd B Wilson) Presentation: Old Business: (a) Committee on Separation of GSRC from the City — TABLED until in-person Meetings Resume. (b) Possible Amendment to COA Bylaws re: adding 'advocacy' to the current Mission of COA Status: Bob B B Balliet is working P&R staff on this and will have more information at the March meeting. (c) Present Report of Survey results – TABLED B Balliet has been communicating with Director Solis and will report back at the March Meeting. New Business: 1. Status of Commission vacancy – Bob, Monica. B Balliet has received a letter from the City Clerk’s office indicating that the vacancy will be filled at the March 1st City Council meeting. 2. Status of the upcoming 'March to Health' event scheduled for Mar 9, 2022. Application submitted. (Commissioner Phyllis & Chair Bob B willing to ‘man COA table.’ Bob.B 3. Status of the upcoming ‘Eggstravaganza’ event scheduled for Apr 9, 2022. Application submitted. (Commissioner Phyllis & Chair Bob B willing to ‘man COA table). Bob B 4. Status of Table Cover and motion to approve cost for same. Phyllis A & Bob B The tale cover is now being purchased from Staples. 5. Re-opening of GSRC – Mon Apr 4, 2022 (?) Bob B Tara Wilson can help with the training of new volunteers. P Johnson would like to help in the Center. COMMISSIONERS REPORTS: Chair Balliet – Pastor Mary from the Methodist Church will be one of the speakers at the March Meeting. He found a mistake on the cover of the Resource Guide and will be correcting all of the guides that have not yet been distributed. Co-Chair A Johnson – is worried that those seniors on a fixed income may not be able to afford the rising costs of food, gas, etc… She is wondering if the GSRC may be able to help with this (sharing contact information, helping contact the correct agencies)  Commissioner Wilson – would like to make people more aware of the Meals on Wheels Program. He would also like to approach Galt businesses to request discounts for seniors and would like to let non-profits know that there may be COVID funds available to them (Sunshine Closet, South County Services, etc). Commissioner P Johnson – indicated that she knows of an official volunteer who has been helping distribute the Senior Resource Guide.
