Kunze also provided his observations from the workshop.
7. Galt 150 Year Celebration Event Reflection
The commission reflected on this event. They felt that the event was enjoyable. However,
they felt it was disorganized and many commissioners felt that they were not taken seriously.
Commissioner Martin attended the planning meetings and arranged for the commissioners to
assist with the hay rides. Commissioners signed up for times to assist in this activity.
However, when commissioners arrived to volunteer, there were too many volunteers from
other organizations and many commissioners were looking for other ways to contribute.
Some expressed that they could have used their time differently and hoped that in future
events they are treated with mutual respect and the community service they offer has
purpose.

help. No budget was presented so no action was taken.
10. Senior Technology Project
Commissioner Martin informed the commission on how the senior technology class went.
There was a little bit of a date mix up but had enough volunteers to do the event and it was
successful. Commissioner Murillo Cuevas provided Commissioner Martin a list of volunteers
that could help.
11. Adopting a Street Project
Commissioner Cuevas Murillo met with Barbara Payne, Galt Beautification Committee, and
got the Adopt-a-Street paperwork the commission needed to do her project. It is a two-year
commitment and the commission would have to clean the street three to four times a year.
