Chairperson: Chris Smith Commission: Ernie Cason, Carrie Graham, Sharlyn Miller, John McNamara CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) ADVISORY To protect our constituents, City officials and City staff, the City requests all members of the public to follow the California Department of Health Services’ guidance and the County of Sacramento Public Health Officer Order for the Control of COVID-19 restricting group events and gatherings and maintaining social distancing. Additional information regarding COVID-19 is available on the City’s website at www.ci.galt.ca.us. Consistent with Executive Order N-29-20, the meeting will be held via teleconference/ electronically and the Parks & Recreation Commission will participate via teleconference/ electronically. In-person participation by the public will not be permitted and no physical location from which the public may observe the meeting will be available. Remote public participation is available in the following ways: 1) Email public comments to galtpandr@cityofgalt.org. The Commission Secretary will read the comments out loud during public comment, subject to the customary 5-minute time limitation. If your comment concerns a specific agenda item, please note the item in the subject line of your email. Commissioners Absent: Graham 3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF AGENDA 4. PUBLIC COMMENT: Under Government Code Section 54954.3, members of the public may address the commission on non-agenda items. Speakers may also address the commission on any agenda item during consideration of the item. Speakers shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the commission and limit comments to a maximum of five (5) minutes. Please fill out a speaker sheet located on the table inside the entrances to the council chambers and forward the completed speaker sheet to the commission secretary. Minutes of the meeting of November 10, 2020 i. Commissioner Cason made a motion to accept the minutes of the November 10, 2020 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting. ii. Commissioner Miller made a second to the motion to accept the minutes of the November 10, 2020 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting. iii. Roll call vote, all present in favor, minutes approved. 6. NEW BUSINESS a. Election – Chairperson i. Commissioner Miller nominated Commissioner Cason. ii. Commissioner Cason nominated Commissioner Miller. iii. Roll call vote of 4-0, Commissioner Cason elected Chairperson. b. Election – Co-Chairperson i. Commissioner Cason nominated Commissioner Miller. ii. No other nominations made. iii.
