PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES
ANTHONY PESCETTI COMMUNITY ROOM
455 INDUSTRIAL DRIVE, GALT, CALIFORNIA
Monday, March 28, 2022, 6:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:06pm by Mayor Farmer.
Committee Members present were: Chair Farmer, Vice Chair McCord, Schamber, and
Cates. Absent: Reed, and Schopf, and Vice Mayor Sandhu
Staff Members present were: Police Chief Kalinowski
Mayor Farmer led us as we pledged allegiance to the American Flag.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
No Public Comment
PRESENTATION:
Chief Kalinowski presented the Get Involved Galt Program to the committee. The
information covered included community survey results regarding funding priorities. A
general discussion occurred.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:
1. The minutes from the January 24th meeting were reviewed and approved
with a motion by motion from Schamber and second by Reed with a
unanimous vote 4-0.
2. Updated bylaws were provided as approved by Council. Information
only.
3. Appointment of Chair and Vice Chair- This item was continued to the next
meeting on a 4-0 vote of the committee. Schamber made the motion
with Farmer making the second.
UPDATES: No significant items were presented as updates.
CORRESPONDENCE: No correspondence.
COMMENTS BY COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
No items or topics were brought forward beyond the items discussed in the meeting.
Next meeting is scheduled for July 25, 2022.
With no further business, Mayor Farmer adjourned the meeting at approximately 7:05
pm.
