Vance RE: Minutes for the Board of Health meeting held on Monday, June 15, 2015 __________________________________________________________________________________ 5:00 Meeting called to order 5:05 Meeting minutes dated May 18, 2015 were approved subject to a correction to be made. 5:15 Request by the Leblanc family for a transfer station sticker waiver was discussed by the Board. The family members of the deceased mother (30 Norman Street, Gardner) all live out of town or out of state. They are cleaning out the house which may take several months. The waiver was approved by the Board. 5:20 Old business: Elmir Simov sent an email to Bernie, which was discussed by the Board. No action was necessary. 5:30 New business: The Mosquito Control Project was discussed. The City Council will be voting on it Monday night. The Board of Health and Public Safety Committee recommend this project. It also got a favorable report by the Finance Committee. A letter was given to Dr. Miller from the Gardner Post #129 American Legion informing the Board of Health of a vote they took at their annual meeting regarding smoking in the Post. The result: 33 members voted to allow smoking and 6 members voted to prohibit smoking. 5:34 Set next meeting, adjourn Recording proceedings were preserved and are available upon request.
