Committee of the Whole Meeting
Thursday, April 4th, 2023 @ 7:00 p.m.
BOARD
MEMBERS 1. Call to Order/Roll Call
Meeting of the Village Board was called to order at 7:00 pm by President

2. Approval of minutes from the March 2, 2023 meeting.

Paul Jargstorf-A 3. Update of 2022/2023 Goals and Objectives.

Jim Krause Discussed the upcoming all-employee meeting. Started planning the employee

Phil Traskaski- Needs board approval-move to board agenda.

Start looking at updating the ordinance.
c. Farmers Market update
Discussed who would be required to provide proof of liability insurance. The board decided on any
sales or fundraiser and to move to board agenda for approval. Also went over the logistics for beer
sales collaboration with the Lions Club. The board would like to waive temporary picnic license fess
but would like operators paid to cover the cost of background checks. Move to board agenda for
approval.
d. LCRR
Informed the board of this mandatory program and the upcoming public information meeting.
e. April Agenda
Agenda items were discussed, including the No Mow May resolution and the need for better signage
of the Village’s participation, as well as the aforementioned items.
6. Ordinance and Resolution Updates
None
7. Department Head Reports:
• Director of PW – Director Cole spoke to the Safety Audit and its outcome.
• Chief of PD – Chief Balog informed the board of Ofc. Knorr’s resignation and the need to increase the PD
lateral vacation package for lateral recruits to help fill open positions. Gave an update on the PDAA position
and explained the new intoximeter and its training.
• Clerk Treasurer -CT Dennis updated the board on the tree project and explained the need to update the PUD
zoning ordinance.
8. Village President Report -President Parker spoke to the BGCFD board’s decision to purchase self-
contained breathing apparatuses, a hose washer, partner saw and Knox boxes using GC donation and
2% Dues.
9. Adjourn into closed session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85(1)
(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public
employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.
Larson/Traskaski motion to go into closed session.
Roll Call: KP-Y, DG-Y, BW-Y, JK-Y, PL-Y, PT-Y
10. Reconvene into open session.
Motion by Larson/Traskaski 5-0. To move to board agenda
11. Adjournment
Motion by Krause/Traskaski to adjourn at 8:58pm; carried 5-0.
