Georgetown City Council Meeting Minutes of March 10, 2025 Page 1 of 2 Georgetown City Council Meeting March 10, 2025 6pm Mayor Jenkins called the meeting of the Georgetown City Council to order. All members were present except Councilmember Tingle Sames. After a moment of silence, Councilmember Hampton led the pledge. Councilmember Stone made a motion to amend the motion made at the February 24, 2025 meeting to postpone the approval of the Finley 5K and approve the August 2, 2025 application date. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. Councilmember Stone made a motion to amend the motion made at the February 24, 2025 meeting to postpone the approval of the Southern Knights Car Show and approve the April 19, 2025 application date at the Pavilion. If the Pavilion is not available, the event can be held on Main Street. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. 1. Minutes A motion to approve the minutes from the February 24, 2025, City Council Meeting was made by Councilmember Hambrick and seconded by Councilmember Menke. The motion was unanimously approved. 2. Acknowledgement of Check Register Mayor Jenkins requested that council members acknowledge receipt of the check register. All acknowledged receipt. 3. Georgetown - Scott County Parks and Recreation – Renaming of Parks Policy – Pending Request A motion to approve a resolution for the requested name change of Ed Davis Park to Boston Community Park was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Wilkins Brent. The motion was unanimously approved. 4. Special Events Ordinance A motion to have a first reading of the Special Events Ordinance was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Wilkins Brent. The motion and second to have a first reading were withdrawn after discussion. 5. Second Readings a) Zone Change Ordinance - Paddocks at Jennings Farm – Sponsors Todd Stone and Kim Menke A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Menke and seconded by Councilmember Hampton. A roll call vote passed 7-0. b) Annexation Ordinance – Paddocks at Jennings Farm – Sponsors Todd Stone and Kim Menke Georgetown City Council Meeting Minutes of March 10, 2025 Page 2 of 2 A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Menke and seconded by Councilmember Crisp. A roll call vote passed 7-0. c) Budget Amendment Ordinance – Sponsors Greg Hampton and Tammy Lusby Mitchell A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Hampton. A roll call vote passed 7-0. 6. First Reading – Annexation Ordinance – Paynes Depot Road (Nettles) – Sponsors Todd Stone and Kim Menke 7. GMWSS – Capacity Analysis (Hydraulic Modeling) Task Order – Hazen and Sawyer – $25,610.00 A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Wilkins Brent and seconded by Councilmember Menke. The motion was unanimously approved. 8. Fire Department – Municipal Order – Bluegrass Business Health Contract Extension. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Hambrick. The motion was unanimously approved. 9. Police Department – Municipal Order – Surplus Vehicles A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Crisp. The motion was unanimously approved. There being no further business, Mayor Jenkins adjourned the meeting at 8:52 pm.
