Georgetown City Council Meeting Minutes of June 9 2025 Page 1 of 2 Georgetown City Council Meeting June 9, 2025 6 pm Mayor Jenkins called the Georgetown City Council meeting to order at 6:00 pm. All members were present except Councilmembers Hambrick and Hampton. After a moment of silence, Councilmember Menke led the pledge. 1. Minutes A motion to approve the minutes from the May 28, 2025 Special Called City Council meeting was made by Councilmember Wilkins Brent and seconded by Councilmember Tingle Sames. The motion was unanimously approved. 2. Acknowledgement of Check Register Mayor Jenkins requested that council members acknowledge receipt of the check register. All acknowledged receipt. 3. Resolution – KPDI Beneficiary for LRBP Phase III A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Menke. The motion was unanimously approved. 4. First Reading – Amendment to Personnel Ordinance – Sponsors Kim Menke and Michael Crisp 5. GMWSS a) Financial Audit FY 25-27 – Recommendation of Award to RFH, PLLC A motion to approve the recommendation was made by Councilmember Menke and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. b) FY 26 Annual Operating and Capital Budget A motion to approve the budget presented was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Menke. The motion was unanimously approved. 6. City Engineer – Resolution – Municipal Road Aid Program Funds A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Tingle Sames and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. 7. Finance Department – Municipal Order – Insurance Renewal A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Wilkins Brent and seconded by Councilmember Crisp. The motion was unanimously approved. 8. Fire Department – Municipal Order – Fire Department Uniforms This item was postponed until the next City Council meeting. 9. Public Works – Municipal Order – Reverse Salt Auction A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Tingle Sames. Backyard Chickens Mayor Jenkins has held meetings with impacted departments and community partners and has shared feedback with the Council. Council members asked questions and made comments. 2. Development Impact Fees Mayor Jenkins and staff provided an update on the stakeholder engagement process. b) New Business – Councilmember Tingle Sames raised questions about Senate Bill 63, which relates to street-legal special purpose vehicles. Staff will provide information to the Council and will track any action taken by the Scott County Fiscal Court. There being no further business, Mayor Jenkins adjourned the meeting at 7:20 pm.
