MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY, NOVEMBER
10, 2020 AT 5:30 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER I, ROOM 300, 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE,
GILBERT, ARIZONA
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Scott Anderson, Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski,
Councilmembers Laurin Hendrix, Scott September, Jared
Taylor, Kathy Tilque, and Aimee Yentes
COUNCIL ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Deputy Clerk Chaveli Herrera,
Town Attorney Christopher Payne, Deputy Town Manager
Leah Hubbard- Rhineheimer, Deputy Town Manager Mary
Goodman, Deputy Town Attorney John Baird, Assistant Town

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order at 5:36 p.m.
RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION
A MOTION was made by Councilmember Taylor, seconded by Vice Mayor Koprowski, to
recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to:
a) A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and
consultation with Town representatives concerning the sale of land near the northwest
corner of Greenfield Road and Ocotillo Road; and
b) A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and
consultation with Town representatives concerning the sale of land west of Greenfield
Road between Walnut Road and Twin Acres Court.
c) A.R.S. §38-431.03(A) (3) and (4), legal advice regarding the One Arizona Opioid
Settlement Memorandum of Understanding.
ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Anderson reconvened the meeting at 6:18 p.m.

NOTICE TO PARENTS: Parents and legal guardians have the right to consent before the
Town of Gilbert makes a video or voice recording of a minor child. A.R.S. 1-602.A.9. Gilbert
Council Meetings are recorded and maybe viewed on Channel 11 and the Gilbert website.
If you permit your child to participate in the Council Meeting, a recording will be made. If
your child is seated in the audience your child may be recorded, but you may request that
your child be seated in a designated area to avoid recording. Please submit your request to
the Town Clerk.
