City Council Meetings

City of Green River, City Council Workshop Proceedings for January 26, 2021, 6:30 pm, held virtually through Zoom Meetings, Mayor Pete Rust called the meeting to order. The following Council Members were present: Gary Killpack, Robert Berg, Sherry Bushman, Mike Shutran, George Jost and Jim Zimmerman. The following were present representing the City: City Administrator Reed Clevenger, Director of Finance Chris Meats, Director of Public Works Mark Westenskow, Assistant Fire Chief Larry Erdmann and Parks & Recreation Director Brad Raney. Presentations: (A) Review of a Proposal for a Disk Golf Course in the Scott’s Bottom Area. Residents of Green River Kevin King and Rick Yoak gave a brief description of the disk golf course that they would like to put in and maintain down in the Scott’s Bottom Area. (B) Brief Update on the Corridor Study Status on Flaming Gorge Way. Mark gave a brief update to the status of the Flaming Gorge Corridor Study. (C) Goal Review by Council for the Upcoming Calendar Year. Reed said the goals set forward by council are moving forward as planned. The joint committees are being set up and meeting with other governmental entities are moving forward as well. Budget will be a large part of what goals are set for the year. (D) Diversion Dam Update and Discussion. Reed said safety issues on the diversion dam were discussed in length and the preventative measures have been done such as the addition of signs at the dangerous areas. The discussion will continue and the safety of everyone is most important.
