Moment of silence Pledge Council met in regular session with following members present: Phillips, King, Lloyd, Wilson, Shoemaker, Bovia, Chief Dorsey, Mayor Wes Sallee, Attorney Palmer, Clerk Betty Inmon, and Zoning Inspector Inmon. (Norwalk Reflector and Shopper’s Helper) Shoemaker move to accept the minutes of January 5, 2015, Wilson seconded; Vote as follows: King Yes, Wilson Yes, Phillips Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, Bovia Yes Phillips moved to pay bills in the amount of $174,415.10, Lloyd seconded; Vote as follows: King Yes, Wilson Yes, Phillips Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, Bovia Yes Clerk: N/A Visitors: Brian Barr and Alex Walker were on hand to watch council at work. Also, Commissioner Tom Dunlap was on hand to ask council if there was anything he could help them with. Committee Mtgs. Fireboard 2/1 7:00 PM Ambulance 2/8 7:00 PM Utility 3/15 6:00 PM Records Committee 5/03 6:30 PM Administrator: Distributed report and talked briefly concerning water main break that place Sunday on Townsend St., ordering of Flow Meters per EPA, and salting intersections. Bovia ask why not boil alerts when there are water main breaks, Virgil’s remark was since water is still flowing that there was no need. He offered literature for council members to read that pertains to this question. Police Chief’s Report: N/A Zoning Inspector: reports for 2015 are done and sent to county. Solicitor’s Report: working on chapter 1044 with Virgil for updates Mayor’s Report: has been cleaning up 2015 and remarked that the street crew does an excellent job when temperatures are freezing and working on water main breaks. Bovia moved to promote Virgil Giles from Interim Administrator to Village Administrator, Wilson second.
