Council met in regular session with following members present: Phillips, King, Lloyd,
Wilson, Shoemaker, Bovia, Chief Dorsey, Administrator Giles, Mayor Wes Sallee,
Attorney Palmer, Clerk Betty Inmon, and Zoning Inspector Inmon.
Lloyd move to accept the minutes of September 6, 2016.Shoemaker seconded; Vote as
follows: Phillips Yes, Lloyd Yes, King Yes, Wilson Yes, and Shoemaker Yes, Bovia

Shoemaker moved to pay bills in the amount of $60,214.40. Wilson Seconded; Vote as

Administrator Report:
Giles handed out his bi-weekly report touching base on serval topics:
Fire Hydrants will be flushed on October 6, 2016.
Drop in Power cost adjustment.
Roof has been repaired.
Police Chief’s Report:
Chief Dorsey will have bi-weekly report for media today.
Tenore has been full time employee since Oct.1, 2016.
Accident involving school bus
Zoning Inspector:
A total of $500 was collected in permits since last council meeting. Problems on East
Main St. with two neighbors concerning driveway that is being shared.
Solicitor’s Report:
Attorney Palmer was very concerning with the jobs of our police department. Our village
Police are the key to protection in our village and their jobs are not without serious
complications erupting in the late hours of night. They are cursed at, spit upon, and made
fun of, but they need to be complimented on the jobs that they are doing to protect us.

Council Discussion:
Discussion was on the farm land that is leased by village. Land is presently leased by
Milky Way Farms. The consensus was to open to others who may be interested. Mr.
Palmer will start working on this. .

Wilson moved to have Third reading of Resolution No.: 2016-R-17 by Title only; Lloyd
