Police Chief Steve Dorsey, Administrator Virgil Giles, Council Clerk, Betty Inmon, Solicitor
Palmer and Zoning Inspector, Cles Inmon, Doug Green, Engineer

Lloyd move to accept the minutes of the February 18, 2017 Council Meeting,
Shoemaker second. Vote as follows: Phillips Yes, Lloyd Yes, King Yes, Bovia Yes,
Wilson Yes, Shoemaker Yes.
Shoemaker moved to accept the invoices in amount of $32,293.05, Wilson second; Vote
as follows: King Yes, Phillips Yes, Wilson Yes, Shoemaker Yes, Bovia Yes, and Lloyd
Yes.

Reports to Council: Mike Lloyd from Park Committee reported that they are in process
of proposing the Athletic Booster to run beer tent at the Park during 4th of July festivities;
Lloyd has asked the Solicitor to check into Ordinance for legalities of such service held
within park.
Steve Bovia of Cemetery Committee reported that the water will be shut off at cemetery
due to EPA regulations and a new sign Cemetery Sign will be erected.
Administrator’s Report: Administrator and Doug Green (Engineer) will be updating the
cemetery survey, Engineer will work on survey on the present Cemetery.; pot holes work
is still going on within village; pad locks have been added to water wells for security; they
expect to be cleaning out the creeks throughout the village.
Police Chief’s Report: Discussion of lagoons and who is allowed to be on premises,
Incident with people fishing, berry picking and using trails. Liability of this property will
have to be looked into with solicitor. Village Administrator asks that Chief contact him

when persons are at lagoons. This will be discussed at next park board meeting.
Discussion of new cruisers with council will be taken to Police Committee and then
brought back with their recommendations.
Zoning Inspector: Inmon issued 2 zoning permits and wants to thank boy scouts for
their work during cleanup; also letter from Civista Bank thanking everyone involved in
cleaning their drive thru.
Solicitor’s Report: Solicitor has been working on contract for IT person (Norman Reed).
Mayor’s Report: National Truffle Day, so everyone at council was treated to truffles.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A FIFTEEN YEAR
EASEMENT OF VACATED RAILROAD PROPERTY NOW OWNED BY THE VILLAGE
OF GREENWICH IDENTIFIED AND RECORDED IN HURON COUNTY, OHIO IN VOL
310, PAGE 172 TO THE NEW LONDON-GREENWICH RAIL TRAIL, INC. TO BE USED
AND MAINTAINED A MULTI-USE RECREATIONAL RAIL TO TRAIL.

ORDINANCE CODIFIED IN APPENDIX A OF SECTION 1261.01 ZONING
REGULATIONS OF THE GREENWICH CODIFIED ORDINANCES.
