VILLAGE OF GREENWICH – STATE OF OHIO Administration Offices: 45 Main Street. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 June 6, 2017 Moment of silence Pledge Roll Call Roll Call: Shoemaker Yes, Lloyd Yes, Wilson Yes, King Yes, Phillips Yes, and Bovia Yes. Absence: N/A Council met in regular session with additional members present: Mayor Wes Sallee, Police Chief Steve Dorsey, Administrator Virgil Giles, Council Clerk, Betty Inmon, Solicitor Palmer and Zoning Inspector, Cles Inmon Visitors: Rebecca Abernathy and Cody Abernathy were in attendance to discuss the possibilities of getting an ordinance to take care of stray cats. She was upset that if her dog runs loose, she will receive ticket from police but nothing gets done to cats. Bryan Hamman and Steve Gray from Board of Education were in attendance to discuss the Beer Garden at fireman’s festival. Solicitor Palmer responded with Ordinance dated 1958 prohibits any alcoholic beverages within park. Ambulance Board 06/12 @ 7:00 PM Cemetery Board 06/20 @ 5:15 PM Fire Board 06/05 @ 7:00 PM Records Committee 11/07 @ 6:30 PM Mike Lloyd from Park Committee talked briefly about the meeting and discussion of beer tent during fireman’s festival and progress of new pavilion. Steve Bovia from Police Committee briefly talked of Police committee, topic of new cruiser for department. Administrator discussed the reasoning behind the shut off of water at cemetery while residents were in attendance. LPI’s problem with water pressure dropping during flushing hydrants was also discussed. Administrator’s Report: Administrator updated council on his departments. Greenwich, Ohio 44837 (419) 752-2441 Police Chief’s Report: Chief will be attending a new task force held by Sheriff called Metrich. This will be a task force for the fight against drugs. Zoning Inspector: Zoning Inspector Inmon issued 3 swimming pool permits and one fence permit; $175 collected for permits. Solicitor’s Report: Palmer will have resolution/ordinance ready for IT Norman Reed hopefully by next council meeting. Mayor’s Report: Mayor was impressed with the Memorial Day Ceremony held at park; had applesauce muffins in honor of applesauce day.
