Greenwood Council Meeting
Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 6:00pm
Council Chambers
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Nelson, Hinker, and Ashbeck all present. Bolf
arrived after roll call at 6:05pm. Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Utility Director Trent Johnson,
Chief of Police Bernie Bock, Public Works Director Eddie Herrick and Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth.
New Business:
1. Ashbeck motioned to accept the bid for the Elgin Sweeper bid for $2825 with Wisconsin Surplus site.
Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Public Hearing was called to order at 6:05pm to address at conditional use permit for parcels
231.0524.000 and 231.0524.004 to allow the owner to run a grain drying and storage facility located in
the industrial park district. Comments were made questioning the dust and noise that would derive from
the units. Comments were also made regarding the possible additional truck traffic. Public hearing was
closed at 6:14pm. Ashbeck motioned to approve the conditional use permit. Bolf seconded the motion.
All ayes, motion carried.
3. Nelson motioned to approve Annexation Ordinance 13-3-2, an ordinance for the annexation of parcel
010.0038.000. It is contiguous to the City of Greenwood, territory owned by the City of Greenwood in
the Town of Eaton. This parcel is 12.7 acres with no land improvements and will be annexed in to
voting ward 1 and zoned into the C-1 Conservancy District. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes,
motion carried.
4. Hinker motioned to approve Robert Landini, Robert Lenz, Richard Haase, Donald Finck, and Jeffrey
Block as part-time seasonal help for 2023. Ashbeck seconded the motioned. All ayes, motion carried.
5. Ashbeck motioned to have Public Works Committee review the sewer dumping rates and the sewer use
ordinance. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes. Motion carried.
6. Bolf motioned to approve Ratsch Engineering for the Library project. Hinker seconded the motion. All
ayes. Motion carried.
7. Nelson motioned to approve the bills and vouchers as presented. Ashbeck seconded the motion. Roll call
vote, all ayes, motion carried.
8. Ashbeck motioned to approve the minutes as written. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes, motion
carried.
9. Nelson motioned to adjourn. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
