Greenwood Council Meeting
Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 6:00pm
Council Chambers
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hansen. Roll call- Nelson, Hinker, Bolf and Ashbeck all present.
Also present Clerk/ Treasurer Kayla Schar, Utility Director Trent Johnson, Chief of Police Bernie Bock, Street
Supervisor Dave Hinker and Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth.
New Business:
1. Bolf motioned to discontinue the rental of City picnic tables and increase the park rental fee to $50 with
an additional $50 refundable deposit. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Nelson motioned to donate $100 to the winner of Miss Greenwood. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes,
motion carried.
3. Discussion was made regarding Bowmans Club. No motions made.
4. Nelson motioned to approve the CMAR resolution 2-23. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes, motion
carried.
5. Nelson motioned to approve resolution 3-23 Declaring Official Intent to Reimburse Expenditures.
Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
6. Hinker motioned to approve resolution 4-23 Authorized Representative to File Applications for
Financial Assistance from State of Wisconsin Environmental Improvement Fund. Ashbeck seconded the
motion. All ayes, motion carried.
7. Ashbeck motioned to approve the operators licenses as presented. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes,
motion carried.
8. Ashbeck motioned to approve the Class “A” Beer licenses for Kwik Trip #315, River Country
Cooperative, and Family Dollar #30572. Hinker seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
9. Ashbeck motioned to approve the Class “A” Liquor licenses for River Country Cooperative and Family
Dollar #30572 and a Class “A” Liquor (cider only) license for Kwik Trip #315. Nelson seconded the
motion. All ayes, motion carried.
10. Nelson motioned to approve the Class “B” Combination licenses for The Sawmill, LLC, Chelsie’s Grill,
Wallis Hinker Brux Post 238 American Legion, Funte’s Bar, and Blue Mirror Bar & Bowl. Ashbeck
seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
11. Ashbeck motioned to approve the Cigarette Over the Counter Sales licenses for Kwik Trip #315, River
Country Cooperative, and Family Dollar #30572. Bolf seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
12. Hinker motioned to raise the cemetery fees to $400 for a single grave, $50 for the filing fee, $700 for a
Saturday Full Burial, $850 for a Sunday/ Holiday Full Burial, $200 for a full burial Winter Fee (snow
removal/ thawing), $150 for digging of cremains, $400 for Saturday Cremains burial, $500 for Sunday/
Holiday Cremains burial, and $100 for a cremains burial Winter Fee (snow removal/ thawing). All other
fees will remain the same. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
13. Ashbeck motioned to approve the bills as presented. Bolf seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes.
Motion carried.
14. Ashbeck motioned to approve the minutes as written. Nelson seconded the motion. All ayes, motion
carried.
15. Nelson motioned to adjourn. Ashbeck seconded the motion. All ayes, motion carried.
