Call to Order by Mayor Westcamp at 6:30 p.m. Staff Present: Marsha Hall - Administrator, Kevin Shannon - Law Director, Jeff Green - Director of Finance, Ralph Portier - Chief of Police Guests Present: The Guest Book is on file with the Clerk of Council. II. Moment of Silence The Mayor asked everyone to join him in a moment of silence. III. Pledge of Allegiance Warren Motts led the Pledge of Allegiance. IV. Roll Call Present: 5 - Shawn M. Cleary, Edward Dildine, Jean Ann Hilbert, Becky Hutson, and Scott Lockett V. Warren Motts - Motts Military Museum Warren Motts, Motts Military Museum, thanked Mayor Westcamp and Council for their support of the museum. Chief Ralph Portier is the recipient of the Rarey Award for his service to the City of Groveport. Lori Motts Byrd has been named Assistant Director of Motts Military Museum. Lori's project of the Memorial to the War Dogs of Vietnam is scheduled to be dedicated this summer. The museum applied for a grant from the State of Ohio and was awarded $50,000. Administrator Marsha Hall stated it was suggested to take a survey when the City started its talk on park improvements and at that time, Council decided not to do a survey. Mayor - Lance Westcamp Mayor Lance Westcamp commented that the meeting with the Franklin County Engineers and the County's new engineer, Cornell R. Robertson, was well attended. He thought it was a great meeting. Franklin County Engineers have done a great job regarding the discussions on the Toy Road issues. The Mayor personally thanked all the City Council and staff who attended the service for former Council Member Donna Drury. The City appreciates all the hard work Donna Drury had done for this community. B. Executive Session Law Director Shannon requested Council to consider making a motion to go into Executive Session pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G) (2) To consider the purchase of property for public purposes, and under (G) (8) with respect to economic development, to include all members of Council, the Mayor, the Administrator, the Finance Director and himself. A motion was made by Council Member Cleary, seconded by Council Member Hutson, to go into Executive Session at 7:03 p.m. pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G) (2) to consider the purchase of property for public purposes, and under (G) (8) with respect to economic development, to include all members of Council, the Mayor, the Administrator, the Finance Director and the Law Director. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 5- Cleary, Dildine, Hilbert, Hutson and Lockett A motion was made by Council Member Hilbert, seconded by Council Member Hutson, to come out of Executive Session at 7:21 p.m. with no action taken.
