HAMPTON ELECTORAL BOARD Meeting Minutes August 04, 2022 Opening The Electoral Board meeting was called to order at 10:27 a.m. by Acting Chair, Matthew Scott Present Matthew Scott, Acting Chair; Rebeca Winn, Vice Chair and Margaret Wilson, Secretary. Also present was Jim Avery, Jacqueline Wade and Sheryl Stanworth. Tara Morgan, Registrar, was absent due to illness. Minutes The minutes were accepted as presented. Open Issues The Electoral Board met with Dr. Jeffrey Smith and Dr. Bowling to discuss safety and ADA concerns at the school precincts. Specifically, it was indicated that there were electrical problems at Tyler and Phillips. The Secretary was requested to schedule an appointment with David McCauley, Parks and Recreation, to discuss safety and ADA concerns at the precincts held at Community Centers and Hampton Parks. In addition, the Secretary will check who has responsibility for precincts held at Libraries. All ADA and safety inspections must be completed before the middle of October. Due to the absence of the Registrar absence, other open issues will be tabled until August 17, 2022. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 1:20 p.m.
