Minutes A motion to accept the February 5 meeting minutes was made by Randy and seconded by Jerri. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer’s Report Melissa presented the Treasurer’s report that included two approved expenses totaling $30,456 (Ottis Elevator monthly maintenance service - $256 and Pilot Reimbursement for netting and parking lot bollards - $30,200) with a balance of $190,109. A copy of the summary report was provided to the secretary. A motion to accept the report was made by Garth and seconded by Ruth. All voted and the motion passed unanimously. Opening Day & 2024 Season Discussion No plans have been finalized. Opening day is Thursday, May 23 with fireworks on Friday. Wayne is coordinating our efforts with city staff for a video. Wayne and Matt are coordinating other events details. Randy is coordinating a joint Color Guard. On field activities begin at 6:30. Invitees to opening day include Mayor, City Manager, City Council, other city staff, and the PSA Board. The board also discussed the possibility of a ribbon cutting ceremony including speeches and video. • Several off-season improvements will be ready for opening day 2024 o New Scoreboard  2 3/21/2024 o Renovated Concession Stand o Big Fans o Enhanced backstop netting o Repaired roof leaks o Parking bollards and revised traffic patterns o History Wall (Allen Hoilman will be asked to provide final update on the panel and banner project at the May PSA meeting) • Pilot’s 25th Anniversary at War Memorial Stadium Scoreboard & Locker Room (City Projects Update) No formal updates. Winter Project Update All winter projects are being worked on and are expected to be finalized prior to opening day. As a note, the Fire Station Contractor informed Community Baseball that they would be out of all stadium parking lots by the end of March. Peninsula Pilots Updates The following highlights were provided by the Pilots and Community Baseball, LLC (CB LLC): • An electrical wire over one of the bathrooms was smoking; a new electrician has been contracted and will perform repairs • Floor drains in the new building were blocked (may have resulted from recent road work); sewer lines have been cleaned • Pilots are actively working on their roster – good prospects • 2024/5 winter projects may include batter and pitch clocks, wall padding, dugout modifications • Stadium usage is up including little league, travel ball, high schools (several schools have used our field for practice and games because of weather issues at their home fields) New Business Board members were asked to start brainstorming about 2024 winder projects. We will be working on the winter project list during the April and May meetings. No other new business. The Chair adjourned the meeting at 12:45 p.m. Next regular meeting is April 8, 2024, at 12:00 (noon) at War Memorial Stadium.
